Make a Card Monday

1461015412791Hello and good evening!

If you’re anything like me Mondays are all a bit much, my day starts with trying to get myself and the baby out of the door to his nursery in a timely fashion to get back as quickly as possible to work all day like the clappers, to then collect him, and get food in him and to bed before he falls asleep in the highchair!

So by the time he is asleep and I’m on “my time” I usually spend the evening tidying/sorting/cleaning in preparation for the repeat on Tuesday.

I have, however, decided to change my schedule so I can look forward to a Monday, each Monday, once the baby is in bed, I am going to make a simple card. No fancy techniques or challenging designs, just some fun to hopefully incite inspiration!

This evening I have made a “just because” card, something I love to have on hand to send someone some sunshine.

I used Craft Asylum Meadow Sweet stamps, Hero arts shadow inks, (lime green, orange soda, lemon yellow, tide pool, bubblegum, red royal, dusty blue and grape juice) mama elephant dies, black wow embossing powder, wink of Stella and momento tuxedo black ink.

I cut the panel with the cross border die, drew round a circle die in the middle of the panel and marked with a pencil it into 8ths then using a flower stamp worked my way round the circle in a rainbow colour wheel. I heat embossed the sentiment, fussy cut it and mounted it with foam tape. I stamped a few little butterflies and added some wink of Stella to the flowers and butterflies and finished with a scattering of sequins.

I hope you like it and if you have any questions or pictures of cards that you make using it as inspiration I’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting! 🙂
