Simon Says Stamp May 2016 card kit

Good Evening,

As promised some still shots of my cards made with the May 2016 SSS card kit.

I’ll keep it brief, the below pictures are of three of the six cards I have made using predominantly the kit, I have also used a few other products which I will post about tomorrow with links to purchase the supplies.

I will also post again tomorrow with stills of the other three cards.

I hope you find this inspirational and would love to hear from you with details of cards you’ve made.

Happy Friday!!

Good Morning all,

Having enjoyed a weekend of celebrations for my brothers birthday you may be expecting to see a photo of the card I made for him, but sadly no, that would have involved foresight and organisation to actually photograph the card before giving it to him! Maybe next time I visit London I’ll sneak a photo to share with you, it’s not my usual style of card as I try to make my cards as individual as the person I’m sending them to.

So today you are going to get a sneak peak at the first card I made with the Simon Says Stamp May 2016 card kit, I appreciate my blog has been flooded with kit made cards, and I will soon branch out into various other demonstrations and comparisons of products.

Again I reiterate, should there be anything specific that you want to read about or have an example video to watch please let me know and I’ll do my best to oblige.

Santoro Tweed – My Own Universe and zig markers

Good Afternoon,

Having had a very busy weekend I haven’t had much time to sit down and create. 😦

That said, I did manage to get out a new stamp set I recently got from Santoro, I love their designs, they are so clean and stamp beautifully every time. I used my Zig clean color real brush markers which are amazing, for watercolour’s they are incredibly vibrant and it’s not hard to blend two completely different colours. I’m by no way an expert in watercolouring, but was really pleased with the end result.

I used Zig colours;

I used Daler Rowney in 90lb and stamped with StāzOn then besides those bits I used a clipboard, masking tape and an aqua brush.

Any questions please let me know, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!
Take care and happy crafting!! πŸ™‚

Make a card Monday

Good Evening all,

I apologise for the radio silence over the recent weeks, my baby was ill, then I was, I basically have been living in a house of germs!

But I’m back and fighting fit! Today’s project was me trying to test myself again; in that I bought a pack of ink pads from Simon Says Stamp in their flash sale, one of those ink pads is a green called ‘willow’ which I could never see myself using as not one of my favourite colours. So to ensure I was able to create with something I usually wouldn’t; I made sure my first project as based around that inkpad!

These are dye inks which do so much more than can be expected of an ink pad! When I heard people saying that they smooth out on drying I couldn’t see how they would manage… but low and behold, it did exactly that! It stamped beautifully and evenly and I am by no means a master stamper!

So here’s the card I made using the ink pad as the foundation, as well as the ink and a TAWS stamp I used a few dies, some gold and green shiny thread, an embossing folder, a gold spray, some green patterned papers and gold foil cardstock.

Any questions please let me know, and if this inspires you to try something similar please let me know and attach pictures!
