LFL Nov 16 CK – Card 3

Hi everyone,

A very quick one this evening as I’m actually watching fireworks as I type, I love Guy Fawkes night! 🎇❇✨🎆

Here is card three from the LFL November card kit ;

I covered the front of my top folding card in a patterned snowflake paper from the kit, I then stamped one of the sentiments in versafine black ink onto a coordinating patterned paper and trimmed it down around the sentiment leaving it at the bottom of the panel. I mounted it onto a piece of the silver mirror board from the kit and wrapped some of the twine round the panel with a snow flake laced into the middle and stuck it down on the back with tape. I foam mounted it onto the the middle of my card base and that is the card!

I hope you like it, also if you want more inspiration pop over to Crazy Paper Chicks YoutubeInstagram and blog,  she has also done 10 cards from this kit, and they are all very different to mine 🙂

Until tomorrow for card 4, happy papercrafting 🙂 xx

LFL Nov 16 CK – Card 1

Hello all,

Here is my first card from the brand new Love From Lizi November 2016 card kit, over the coming days I’ll post each of the cards with a small description.

This quite simply is layering two of the coordinating patterned papers, I chose to foiled one and a normal printed one, I used wet glue to stick the papers down, on half of one of the sheets of A4 card, cut lengthways then folded in half to make a top fold card. I used one of each of the widths of the pin stripe peel offs from the kit along the seam of the papers and just below to add a little feature to the join, I also added a crystal to the center of each of the snowflakes. I finished off adding a Merry Christmas peel off also from the kit.

Ever such a simple card, but quite effective as the papers are so beautiful and only glue and scissors required beyond the kit!

Card two coming shortly, until then, happy paper crafting 🙂

SSS September 2016 card 6

Hello again,

Here’s card 6 for you…

Yet another clean and simple one, using two stitched rectangle dies I cut the patterned paper  (saving the middle piece as I love the paper too much to just waste behind a layer!) Then cut a smaller rectangle from some white 120lb SSS card stockade stamped the sentiment using versafine.I stamped the balloons using a rock and roll technique. I loaded the baloons with the lightest shade of blue then rolled one lower edge in a slightly darker shade to give the balloons a bit of shape. I then used the nuvo drops to create a reflection line, stamped the strings and run silver peel offs around the edge of the card panel.

I hope you like it!

Until tomorrow, happy paper crafting! 🙂

SSS September 2016 card 5

Hi all!

Here’s card 5 for you…

This is a very clean and simple card, which with a slight pallet change can work for a masculine theme without a problem.

I had three left over circles from card 4 so wanted to use those, and what better way than with balloons! I cut an additional two circles of a different patterned paper from the kit then played around with them until I found a placement I was happy with, I glued three directly on the card base and mounted thr other two on foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment in versafine, as well as all the balloon strings. I then decorated tge baloons with the nuvo crystal drops from the kit .

I hope you like it,

Until tomorrow, happy papercrafting! 🙂 x

SSS September 2016 card 4

Hello all,

So here is card 4…

This card is very simple to do as long as you have a die cutter! I cut one of the patterned papers using the mama elephant sew fancy dies then cut three circles in a line down the center of the page. I temporarily taped the patterned paper over the card base and used my EK success powder tool to get rid of any static in the holes then stamped three of the smaller greetings in versamark and put seafood white embossing powder over the top and heat set it. I rubbed with my finger the powder till it disappeared and stuck the patterned paper over the top. Then I stuck some of the scratch off stickers over the sentiments and stamped scratch off in stazon ink directly on the stickers.

I hope this inspires you, I’ll be back tomorrow with Card 5!

Until then happy papercrafting! “)

SSS September 2016 card 3

Hello everyone!

Card 3…

This is one of my favourites, I used hero arts shadow inks to create my background. I used the second white card Base and started by stamping the greeting at an angle in orange soda, the to either side of the ‘happy’ lined up the ‘birthday’ part of the sentiment in butter bar either side and repeated this pattern up the page changing ink pad for each row, I also used red royal and cup o’ Joe.

The banner I die cut using Gina Marie Designs stitch banner die, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and run peel offs in gold along the outer edges of the card and banner.

Any questions please comment and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible. A full product list is on the blog post dated the 18th of September 2016 with links for the items used.

Until card 4, happy paper crafting! 🙂

SSS September 2016 card 2

Evening all,

Details of card 2…

I cut a piece of the patterned paper into a wide strip and a narrow strip leaving enough space between the two to stick some of the puffy stickers in a row, used some of my black peel off stickers to edge the sides of the paper and give a finishing touch, and stamped the greeting in momento tuxedo black ink. Then added some of the nuvo crystal drops from the kit to give a little sparkle.

Another very simple card, I hope you don’t find them too basic, but I try my hardest to use minimal products beyond the kits so that they are easy to replicate for those without so many products.

Happy paper crafting 🙂

SSS September 2016 card 1

Evening everyone,

Well, everything’s been a bit if a hurricane recently and don’t feel like I’ve had a chance to catch my breath!

It’s incredibly exciting, and everytime my phone pings with another order coming in I have a little excited wiggle!

So, back on topic, card one is very much a CAS (clean and simple) card. It’s a perfect design idea to keep in the back pocket if you need a card quickly.

I used half of one of the white sheets of cardstock in the kit cut lengthways to create a top folding card measuring 5 and a half inches by 4 and a quarter.

I stamped thr greeting in moment tuxedo black ink in thr centre, then using both bottles of the nuvo crystal drops randomly dotted spots around the sentiment, concentrating more by the greeting and spreading them out more towards the edge of the card Base.

I let it dry and that’s card one all done!

Product links are on my post dated the 18th September called product list!

Until card 2, happy papercrafting! 🙂
